Hi! My name is Lauren and the relationships with my close friends and family is very important to me in general. But, to be honest, each individual relationship changed when my epilepsy returned. My top tips for improving your relationships with your family and friends is:
- Be honest when you’re not feeling well. It will then help the family nember of friend with knowing what to do.
- Open up at your own pace. You shouldn’t have to feel like you should open up straight away… but when you do that, you feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.
- Try and write down how you’re feeling if you’re not in the right mindset to verbally talk. It’s ok not to be ok.
